Hi Fay, To learn more you need to learn more about the regiment. 1) find out what company he served and the name of the company commander 2) learn the names and ranks and duties of the officers of the regiment hierarcy 3) contact the British archives for information and documents relating to the regiment commander and the company commander - sometimes letters to headquarters and the war department where preserved - often these letters will describe military activites and battlefield reports and participating companies - sometimes they may describe living conditions, logistical and/or administrative problems - if you're lucky these documents might be available on microfilm Michael Notify Administrator about this message?
