I am seeking muster rolls for Captain Demere's Independent Company which was posted at Fort Cumberland under Braddock. A Demere's Co. was defeated by the Indians in the Carolinas 2 years after Braddock's Defeat where Capt. Paul Demere relinquished his command to his brother Raymond. I believe this Paul is the same Captain Demere involved with the Spanish invasion of 1740 in Georgia and South Carolina. Can anybody help with Demere's Independent Company info.?
