British Soldiers who stayed in America

My ancestor Henry Parslow (Perslo, Persloe, etc.) apparently came to America as a British soldier during the Seven Years War.

He stayed and settled in the Kingston area of Ulster County.

Does anyone have any information on him or have any ideas of how to obtain information on his regiment, etc.?
