Mary,The info was found in the records in VA,according to Ginger Hicks(Gillespie). The records indicated that Robert Galspy(Gillespie)was a Sgt. in Dickerson Rangers and received landgrant of about 300 ach, The area of VA is located in and around The James river area,5the area of Cliffton Forge is built on the property once owned by Robert Galespy(Gillespie)(A marker at the Cliffton Forge Courthouse indicates this.This info looks to have been documented in the records that Ginger uncovered as in her info,she lists the records and so on.I would like to know more about the Dickerson Rangers if anyone has any info.
