Aaron Family Genealogy Forum

I am trying to contact family members of William Aaron he was killed in action Sept 27,1944. He was the radio operator of a B-24 piloted by Roy E Bolin. Only one of nine crew members survived the crash and POW camp. Of 34 B-24 bombers only 4 made it back to base. My first cousin Charles E Weatherly was the Engineer Top Turret Gunner on this ill fated mission and was KIA. They were in one of the most disastrous U.S. air battles of WWII, it is called the Kassel Mission. Please go to kasselmission.com to verify what I have written.
There is a memorial service in Germany 08/01/2010 to honor these airmen. Relatives of airmen/soldiers are welcome to come. If you have any information about William Aaron please contact Don Lum 435-820-4128 or Kassel Mission Historical Society president Linda Dewey 231-642-0742
