Hello,
I am a friend of the daughter of Vernice Kern.
My friend just celebrated her 50th birthday.
She wants very much to find her father.
She didn't find out until she applied for a marriage license that the man that raised her was not her biological father.
She kept hoping that someday her mom would be able to talk about it.
To this day, her mom will not tell her who he is.
My friend doesn't even know if her father knows he has a daughter.
Vernice Kern was living in Merced, CA when she got pregnant.
She was single.
We think the man Vernice was seeing was in the service.
This would have been around May-July 1948.
Do you know who this man could be?
My friend really wants to find him and meet him.
