I have just started my search for my fathers family. His name was John Abate, br: 1919, Phila, Pa. He had a bro. Joe, who was the oldest, br: 1887, also a bro. Domenic, Albert, and 2 others. He also has a sis.(still living?) named Rose (Baumgardener)Abate, and 2 others that are have passed, Lucy, and Julie. I know his grandmother died in Phila. but have no other info. on her. They called his father Joe, although his given name was Giosue. My fathers mothers name was Maria Domenica Maglioccio, she was from Calabria, Italy.
