I have an original Declaration Of Intention (looks like some type of US citizenship application) for Chologero Abbate dated 12/13/21. This form says he came to the US on 11/8/03. There is a record at Ellis Island for Calagero Abbate coming over on 11/8/04 on a ship named Gerty. It lists him as 23. Calagero is the same spelling as on my mother's Baptism Certificate which has her mother's name as Rosalia Bummolo.
I think the town in Italy is Lercara Friddi.
