I can probably POSSIBLY steer you in the right direction because my Grandpa Sidebottom is still alive and well (and 92 years old) in Dodge City. Glenn and Grandpa are related several generations back. I asked Grandpa, and he did not know Glenn's family although I believe that I DID go to school with one of them. I "do" have an early release (shortened unfortunately) of Laverne's obit:

KINSLEY -- Laverna J. Sidebottom, 91, died Saturday, May 12, 2001, at her home in Kinsley.
A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Hillside Cemetery, Kinsley, with the Rev. David Bell presiding.
McKillip Memorial Funeral Home, Kinsley, is in charge of arrangements.
