Timmy,
I was interested in your post. I looked up the 1850 Barren Co., KY census & found the following located on the same page of the census:
==============================================
Date: 1850 18 Sep
Type: 1850 Census, Barren Co., KY, Page #476A, Lines 11-17, Dwelling #1033, Family #1052,James G. HARDY, Asst. Marshal
Quality: Excellent
Location: National Archives, Washington, D.C.
11. THOMPSON, Mary R. 37 KY
12. THOMPSON, Edwin P. 16 farmer KY
13. THOMPSON, Joseph N. 14 KY
14. THOMPSON, James B. 11 KY
15. THOMPSON, David N. 9 KY
16. THOMPSON, Martha J. 5 KY
17. McFELEA, James W. 20 KY
==============================================
Date: 1850 18 Sep
Type: 1850 Census, Barren Co., KY, Page #476A, Lines 36-38, Dwelling #1038, Family #1057,James G. HARDY, Asst. Marshal
Quality: Excellent
Location: National Archives, Washington, D.C.
36. ABBOTT, William 62 farmer KY
37. ABBOTT, William V. 14 KY
38. McFELEA, Sarah A. 17 KY
==============================================
I believe that James W. McFELEA, age 20, living with the THOMPSON family is the son of William McFELEA b. 1801 MD, d. aft. 1880, bd. Canmer Cemetery, Canmer, Hart Co., KY & Sarah ABBOTT b. abt. 1802/03, d. Canmer, Hart Co., KY.
William ABBOTT, age 62, would be about the right age to be the father of Sarah ABBOTT given his birth date of 1788. I believe that Sarah A. McFELEA is probably his granddaughter & the daughter of William & Sarah McFELEA & the sister of James W. McFELEA, age 20.
Do you have any idea how the THOMPSON family might be connected to James W. McFELEA?
What are your thoughts on this?
