In 1869 Henry Abson came to Oceana County, Michigan from Penn. He was born in Yorkshire, England August 26, 1844 to Anthony and Mary Abson. When Henry was only 7 yrs. old, his parents immigrated to New York City.
Henry married Ellen L. Gilbert in March, 1865. She died Feb. 8, 1893. July 24, 1894 he married Susan A. Goodrich. She died Dec. 6 of 1894. April 11, 1895 he married Edith G. Rittenhouse. They had 6 children by his first wife of which 3 died in infancy. His surviving childern were William H., Walter E. and Mary.
