Henry, grandfather, early settler of Northampton Co., married Elizabeth Ace, migrated to Monroe County in 1798, settling on the Delaware river in Smithfield township, children-Madaline who married Jacob Olenbaugh, George, who married ____ Mann, Elizabeth, who married Henry Costerman, Jacob, who married Jane Merlin, Henry, who married Rachael Transue, Kate, who married George Ace, of Smithfield, he died from the effects of a accident, his arm being torn of by a threshing machine,four children survived him, Peter.

III. Peter, was born in Northampton Co.. in 1772, he married Betsy Cooper, also born in 1772, d/o John and Polly Cooper early settler of Northampton Co. Children of Peter and Betsy, Jacob, who married Nellie Biles, and they lived in Bradford Co.; Polly who married Philip Noack, of Smithfield township, and she died leaving a family, two now living, Matilda, who married Fred Transue, and Wash Noack; Peter; John C.; George, who died as a boy; Besty, who married Jonas Hanna of Mt. Home, and she died leaving a family; Eleanor, who married Leonard Courtright, and she died leaving a large family; Henry, who married Elizabeth Transue, he died while rafting and he left 2 children, John, who died in the Civil war and Jane; Kate who died as a child; Julia, who married Adam Bogert, and they lived in Monroe Co.; Benjamin, who married Caroline Yetter, of Smithfield township, their daughter married James P. Overfield; Lucinda who married Samuel Courtright, and died leaving 4 children.

IV. John C., was born in Monroe Co., 1806, he married in April, of 1826 to Eleanor Hanna, d/o Benjamin and Hanna (Tock) Hanna. They had 10 children.
