That's really wild. *My* father's name was John Joseph; not sure when he was born, but he died around 1978.

You know what? Ask Judith Gallagher in this message board. We're both from the same area, both share names in common (John's, Henry's, George's, Joseph's and Thomas's run in our family). Perhaps there's some long lost connection going on here to the original William Ackermann from the mid-1800's, whom appears to have, more or less, started the Southern Brooklyn line of Ackermann's. (Flatlands, Marine Park, etc...)
