The Ackerson/Eckerson Family in America compiled by Ethel (Kolenut) Konight has just been reprinted for the third time. It is of the first 6 generations of the A/E family beginning with Thomas Hugesson and Sara Brout whose
descendants assumed the name Eckerson. The family has come down through their son, Jan Thomaszen of New Amsterdam/New York. It has names and dates of the 7th generation but does not carry them down.....

The Ackerson/Eckerson Family in America (First edition 1991) is the first and as yet the only genealogy to add a verbatim record of marriages, baptisms, and witnesses. When a primary source is given, the reference and page number is included. If the records were numbered (Tappan baptisms, Acquackanonck, Kakiat, etc.) those numbers are also included. The male and female lines are carried down. When known, the parents of spouses are included and also the verbatim record of church membership with reference.
