My son, Steve sent me this message and I have been trying to find more info for you.
My father, Elmer Louis Ackerson married Alma Crate Young in Lamarr. CO on Dec 24, 1920.
My sisters are Ellen Elizabeth,M. Peter Rodrigues in January 1939. She has 7 children: I will send you a photocopy of their information if you are interested. My other sister Fern Louise was born July 23 1924 married William Irvine Loitz Sept 18 1948 She died May 22,2000 in Escondido, CA They have four children and nine grandchildren.
I married Raymond Ernest Read August 21, 1950 and divorced April 5 1979. He died March 6, 1997 in Denver CO. We have 4 children: Steve, Chris, Allison and David. Allison has 2 daughters.
If you are interested in more data about my
children or nieces and nephews. Please let me know.
I believe that Uncle Herbert married Roberta and that Patricia Coers is their only child. He married Edna Schelin later in life and I do not believe they had any children. Patricia could, of course clarify that. I have several sheets from various sources about the Ackerson family. including more about Hannah Larson who was my father's mother.
Have you ever read the novels by Vilhelm Moberg? One is called Unto a Good Land
and the other I have forgotten. They depict the immigration of Swedes circa 1850. I have enjoyed imagining that my grandparents were with the Swedes at that time. Grandfather came to the US as a child, but Grandmother came at about age 18 by herself in a cattle boat according to my cousin, Richard Ackerson (one of Clarence's sons). Richard died a couple of years ago here in Escondido. His sister is married to Thomas Hillesheim who has sent in some of the info in the LDS files. I have their address as well. Richard's widow lives in the same Mobile home park as I do and as my sister, Fern did.

Please let me know if there is any more you would like to have of the bits and pieces I have accumulated.
Good hunting!
