Would love to fill in the information that is missing on what I have below. There are some dates and places I cannot find.

Descendants of James Or Jacobus Eckerson Ackerson

Generation No. 1

1. JAMES OR JACOBUS ECKERSON5 ACKERSON (ABRAHAM4, THOMAS C.3 ECKERSON, CORNELIS JANSEN2, JAN THOMASZEN1) was born November 06, 1787 in Tappan, NY. He married JANE ACKERSON. She was born Abt. 1792 in N.J..

Notes for JAMES OR JACOBUS ECKERSON ACKERSON:
I just found a family group sheet in mom's papers that has Garret Ackerson's mom and dad as James Ackerson and Sarah Ekkerson. <groan> This is very confusing.
Name also listed as Jacobus on another group sheet. Children listed on this sheet are: Katherine, Hiram, Meriah, Male, Male, 3 males and 3 females (at bottom). Written in is Gerrit ?, Samuel ?, Joseph ?, and John ?.

Child of JAMES ACKERSON and JANE ACKERSON is:
i.       GARRETT6 ACKERSON, b. February 08, 1819, Washington County, OH; d. June 10, 1898, Fulton Co., IL; m. (1) LETITIA FRIEDLEY, July 18, 1839, Fulton Co. IL; b. Abt. 1824, PA; d. October 17, 1892, Smithfield, Fulton Co., IL; m. (2) SAMANTHA WILLIAMS BUTLER, December 22, 1892, Smithfield, IL at his home.; b. Abt. 1842, Erie, PA.

Notes for GARRETT ACKERSON:
Also have found the name spelled Gerrit.
Fought in Mexican and Civil war. According to survivor's service pension, he enlisted (Mexican War) July 4, 1846 and was discharged May 26, 1847.

Illinois marriage records online read: Garret and Leticia Friedley.

Fulton county Cemetery Book, Vol 11, 1986 has this information:
Ackerson, Garrett b. Feb 8, 1819 d. ____ h/o Letitia - MEX WAR 4 ILL REG CO K CIVIL WAR I REG CO G MO ENG

Family Group sheet in Mom's papers compiled by Libby Gruman (?) has Garrett and Leititia Freidley, m. 1 July, 1839.

More About GARRETT ACKERSON:
Burial: Baughman Brock Cemetery, Fulton County

Notes for LETITIA FRIEDLEY:
I have seen this name spelled Friedly, Freidley, Fridly and Fridley. Also have seen the spelling of Latisha and Leutitia.
On the marriage application for Emma, she has the name Lucretia Fridley.

Marriage Notes for GARRETT ACKERSON and LETITIA FRIEDLEY:
Have also seen the date of July 1, 1839. The marriage license says the 18th of July, 1839.

Marriage Notes for GARRETT ACKERSON and SAMANTHA BUTLER:
Source: marriage license. Witnessing the marriage are James and Emma Mason. Where it says "Mother's Maiden Name" someone has written "don't know"..
