William Acree of New Kent Co., VA - 1750

In 1751 William Acree was a processioner (making a census of landowners) in St. Peter's Parish, New Kent co., VA where John and Richard Jones, probably brothers, were landowners. John and Richard moved to Granville County, NC sometime in the early 1750s. William Acree and an Isaac Acree were in Granville by 1754 when they were listed in Capt. Richard Coleman's company of militia. Richard Jones is listed nearby on the same list. Having lived in the same neighborhood in New Kent County, the Acrees may have come out with the Jones brothers.

I am seeking information on the movement of people from New Kent County to Granville Co., NC during this period. I will appreciate any information about the Acrees during this time, particularly any ties they had to the Jones brothers in New Kent or Granville Counties. Thanks.
