The answer to your question is yes. A William Acree removed From Warren Co., NC (taken from Granville Co.) about the time (1786)you are looking at to Wilkes Co., GA. He was probably Issac's brother. You are on the right track. It is quite possible that before William and Issac were of Granville Co. about 1748 they were of Hanover Co.VA.

The William & Isaac ACREE were perhaps children of William and Elizabeth ACREE who were of Hanover Co. by the year 1735. Only one son can be attached to the first William and his wife Elizabeth and that is Joshua.
