Hello. If what I have been told is correct, the Acree family was at Georgetown which was outside of Searcy in White County Arkansas.
Your relative was probably more than likely born at one of those communities outside of Searcy actually. More than likely, the Acree family had come from southeast Georgia.
Look in the White County Arkansas web site as it is excellent.
The great grandfather of my children was named John Acrey who had come from Dalton,Georgia. He had been born in the Athens area before the family went to the Dalton area when he was a child.
His parents were named William James and Margaret Cleveland Cash Acree-note the difference in spelling and were buried under Acree.
John Acrey lived up until the late 1940's and died and is buried in White County. John Acrey always said the Acrees at Georgetown were his cousins which I believe to be true for several reasons.
http://www.rootsweb.com/~arwhite/ is the web site.

If you want someone to look for you in Arkansas, I know a lady who will search, but she gets a donation to the local museum building fund per chance you wish to go that way.

Good luck. With a name like Acree/Acrey you will need it to search as they are hard to track.I have realized that from the amount I have done.
