Henry Acree b.1867 d.1930 AL?/GA
My grandfather, Henry Acree ran away from home as a 13-yr old boy because he did not like his stepfather. In changing the search to find who may have been his parents, I went to census records of every county within a possible walking distance of Carroll County, Ga where he lived most of his life. I found a family of Absolem and Martha Acrey listed in the 1850 Meriwether county, Ga. census with children Absalem (10),Dawson (21), Elizabeth (12), Infant (1 month), James (20), John (4), Priscilla (14), Sarah (7), Sherod (18), Wesley (2),& William !5). I also found a William and Mary Acre with family in the Russell County, Al. 1850 census. Their children were Susan(15), Samuel(13),William(11), Daniel(9), Seaborn(7), Mary(6), & Frances. Can anyone connect any of the males mentioned above to fathering a son named Henry? He was born Feb 9,1867 but we do not know where. We start with a 13-yr old boy running away from home. All help gratefully accepted and appreciated.
