Dear Cindy, my name is Carolyn Crabtree and you sent me a email several months ago and I lost your email. I dont know what you have been able to find out but, here is some stuff.I have Williams birth as 25 Feb 1824 and death as 18 Jul 1898. He says on his pension papers that he was born in Blount Co. He joined for the Mexican American War in McMinn Co. From the family bible he married Sarah Ann Snider (she b. 10 Dec 1825 and d. 23 Feb 1897) 15 Apr 1848 in Bradley Co. at her home. Where did you get the name Scott? I found in Meigs Co. records for 1841 orphans James Snider and Sarah Ann Snider were bound out he to John Atkinson and she to Borrow Buckner. There is an Elisha Snider in McMinn Co. in 1840 with a boy and girl that could be right age. Buckner and Atkinson were in McMinn in 1830. I think this might be Sarahs father as Wm and Sarah named their first child James Elisha. Let me know if you want to talk about more stuff.
