Did your William Acree serve as a Confederate soldier? Could he have ever been married to a Millie Hill? An Ethel Acree, who says my Jasper had a brother William who was a Confederate soldier, married Millie Hill and moved to Arkansas. If your William is my Jasper's brother, he would have been Ethel's Grand Uncle. Ethel also says that there were seven children. Does the Bible mention any other names such as William's father? Or do you know any reason the children were orphaned?
One researcher has speculated that a Lewis Acree was the father and the mother was a Rhoda Wiggington. This has not been confirmed. If possible, what were the names of William's children. Sorry for so many questions! Feel free to email me directly:
dlgatewood@insightbb.com and thanks so much for the reply!!
