The Absalom/Abner Acrey/Acree thing is a real brick wall for a lot of people. I am a participant in the Acree Family DNA project that seems to lock me into Absolem Srs. lineage. As you know, after the 1850 census in Meriwether, GA the family except for three sons moved to Nagodoches, TX before the 1860 census. One of those three is possibly my great-grandfather. At the moment I'm guessing Surrd (Sherrod) is the most likely because I can't find any reference to him other than the 1850 census. Until I can find him, I'm stuck with my guess. Thank you for responding.
