The following information (transcribed from the cursive)is from the Lambert Collection, Marshall University, Huntington, West Virginia (Manuscript 76, Box 11, Notebook 9, pages 27-28).
The information was provided by Hiram Adkins to Fred C. Lambert. [Transcribed by Joel Adkins.]

Jesse Adkins, blacksmith m. a dau. ________, of Isom Adkins (illegitimate).

Jacob Adkins m. Phoebe Bradshaw

Betsy ______ m. Isaac Adkins. Lived in Harts Cr. District. He took up land at Forks of Beech Fork, beg. At mo. of “Stone Fort Branch Br. (It covered ¼ acre & was a wall in a circle about 6 to 8 ft.)supposed to be built by Indians. Tradition says 2 McComases came & found their stolen horses in this fort about time of Rev. or just after it.

Blind Charles m. Polly Scott. Her sister Betty m. [illegible] Ross.

Lewis Adkins

Mary Adkins m. Rece Elkins. She m. 1 Frederick Miller, They all went to Wabash River, Ill., Blind Charles & Jake Sr. & family. All returned when my gr. Father was getting married. Frederick Miller took fever & ague & d. on on his way back. Two children: ________m.Henry Ross. Pantha Miller m. John Adkins of Harts Creek who probably d. in Civil War (Prison).

[Mary Adkins] m. 2 Blankenship, father of Preble & Rafe Sr. & gr. Father of Rafe Jr. M. 3 Rece Elkins [Reese Elkins] who went to the Pen for counterfeiting, probably at Atlanta, Ga.
