Hi Pat, I think we have corresponded before, I think so, but my memory is getting old and some of these families I've research are starting to Run together, LOL. Anyway I do appreciate the stuff you just gave me I think I have these but will sort thru it again. Let me pass along a couple things I found last week on Charles Adkins. Anyway I don't know if you have this or not. I was in my library here, (I live in Amarillo), and I found him listed in the Tarrant County Cemetery named Oakwood Cemetery. I'm afraid I didn't write down the page # but it is listed as Block 57, plot #44s. Now it has him listed as "Charley" Adkins but looking at the birth and death, It's him. And just 4 graves down the page is "Emma" Adkins, plot 48. (I think she was one of his wives). That was one point, The other was this. Are you by chance on Ancestry.com ? I am. While I was looking for stuff on there, I found a City Directory for Fort Worth, dated 1914. Now of course he died in 1914, but anyway in the Directory it listed him as living at 1318 E. Front. Now it didn't say St. or Dr. or even Rd. so I don't know that. But this must be the address of the house that is plastered all over Ancestry.com, of him and I think two of his daughters. But anyway; Do you know how you can go to Google and plug in an address, and it will give you a Satelite pic of that address I tried Front St in Fort Worth and it didn't give anything useful. So I tried the same address in Arlington and in Dallas. The one in Arlington was of some Warehouse on a busy Street, and the one in Dallas "looked like" it could have been the address. But that City Directory did say Ft. Worth, so I don't know. The Arlington add was about 13 miles from Oakwood Cemetery, and the Dallas Add. was 31 miles from Oakwood. So "take that info with a grain of salt". My wife Denise is a Gr. Gr. Granddaughter of Charles. His son Alonzo was her Gr. Granddad, and then Alonzo' son Charley was Denise' Granddad. Anyway this Fall, we are planning a sort of Genealogy trip across the N.E. corner of Texas, and we are leaning toward swinging down to Ft. Worth, (although I hate the traffic), But we will be going to Honey Grove, and Fannin, and Lamar Counties, looking up what ever we can find. You said Charles was your Gr. Gr. Granddad, from which of his children do you descend? Good talking with you. My email is scottproperty@sbcglobal.net Thanks Scott Spencer
