Try Atchitt or Adjett and you might want to check Hinmans 1st Puritan Settlers in Conn and also Hartford Probate Records.

The first Adsit in America of whom there is any known record that I know of was John Adsit, who resided in Withersfield, and Hartford, Conn., before locating at Lyme, Conn abt 1716. Originally he had supposedly come from Essex, England, when a small lad. I don't know if any record of place or date of birth has been found yet, but would love to know that information. His death is recorded as of Jan, 1734-35. He was married twice.
