Mrs (?) Aebersold wrote to her uncle, Fred Tillman, of PA, relating the passing of her mother on 9 March 1919, to a place where 'there is no war and fighting', an apparent reference to WWI in Europe. She had not seen her mother for a long time. The mother was in her 80's.
References in the letter indicate M/M Aebersold were farmers.
However, farther on in the letter, Mrs. A makes reference to her daughter Ann, who is married to Joe, and their son, 4 mo. old.
Godfrey, Mrs. A's son, is also married and has a small child. Both Joe and Godfrey work in the Washington Navy Yard. The letter is signed 'Family Aebersold'.
We have found one reference to Godfrey in the Evergreen Cemetery records of Bladensburg. His name is listed as Godfrey A. Aehersold b. 13 Jul 1895 d. 29 Jul 1923.
