Dear Caroline,

First, I have to apologize for not responding promptly in regards to our tree connections. I am truly sorry. But, like you, I am also distracted by other things and need more time.

Secondly, I want to express how excited I am to have found this connection and the chance to meet family relatives I have never met, and, to expand the information on our family trees.

Thirdly, If the Aguayo Family is still located in New Mexico, then the Romero Branch is only a two or three hour drive away! My brothers and sister all live in El Paso, Texas! Currently, I am the only one living in San Francisco.

Fourthly, I hadn't realized it at the time I found your message, but not only is Victoriano Carrillo married to an Aguayo, but, also Narciso Leal, also an uncle, is married to Sebastiana Carrillo, daughter of Victoriano and Gabina. As was the custom of the time, marriage within the family was encouraged.

In your response, it sounds like you are only someone working on the family tree for the Aguayo's. Is that true? If so, then I would like it if it would be possible to connect with actual family members either by email or other forms of communication. When I told my siblings about our connection, they seemed very eager to meet and connect. Imagine being able to meet relatives so close by this entire time!

May I invite you to browse my Ancestry.com public tree? To do that I would need your email address so to send you an invitation and in that way share missing information. Oh, and please, by all means, I would like to meet the Family Historian!!! What a blessing. One of the reasons I started, not the main one, but just as important, is that my father never really shared his family history with any of us. I have had to find out on my own the major accomplishments our family lines have accomplished!!! So much!

I look forward to your reply, Caroline, either privately, or through genealogy.com. As you feel comfortable.

Here is info for:
José Narciso Leal, baptism 31 Oct 1848, in Teocaltiche, and married to Sebastiana Carrillo.
These two have six children, that I have found. Names are Manuel Leal, Librada Leal, Francisco Leal, Jose Apolinar Leal, Maria Ines Leal, and Antonia Leal. All from Teocaltiche, Jalisco.

Sincerely yours,

Javier Romero
