Elizabeth Ahlers--Germany>Texas 1872

I am looking for any information on Elizabeth/Elise Ahlers who was born in Germany 2 May 1853. She may be the Elise Ahlers who arrived in New Orleans aboard the "Strassburg" on 12 Nov 1872--the age (19, time of immigration, and location are right, but I have no proof. There were no other Ahlers on board. She apparently went to Fayette Co. TX where she married Charles/Karl Jahn abut 1875. She died in Taylor,Williamson Co. TX 13 Dec 1948.

There are other Ahlers in Fayette Co. and in neighboring Colorado Co. who say they were born in Oldenburg. The only indication I have for where Elise was born was the 1880 census which says Prussia--but snce her husband was also listed as born Prussia, the census taker may have simply written it twice. On her death certificate only Germany is listed as place of birth, but her father's name is given as Frederick Ahlers. There is a Frederick Ahlers born about 1841 in Oldenburg in the 1870, 1880 census. He may have been the Freiderich Christian Ahlers who arrived in New Orleans aboard the "Bremen" in 1868.

Is Elise related to this Frederick? Is the widow Mary Ahlers, born Oldenburg ca. 1820, who lived in Frelsburg, Colorado Co. TX perhaps an aunt by marriage?
