Dear Mrs. Templeton,

This is an answer from Germany. I just found your question about Ahlschwede. This family belongs to my relativs. The oldest one I could discover, was Karl Ludwig Wilhelm, born 1857 in the little villge called "Vorwohle", Lower Saxony. Neither he nor his children went to America, as far as I know.
In this region also families "Ahlswede" are living.

Please mail back, if you want a discussion about your question.

Kind regards, Hans Foerstemann.
