Effie Ethel Ahrens Presnell Rash

My father's mother, she has a very mysterious and confusing history (if her name doesn't already tell you that.)

Effie Ethel Ahrens Presnell Rash was born Apr. 28, 1889 at Terre Haute, Indiana.

She is one of three children. I know of one brother, Henry Garrett Butler (Yes, Butler) who was born in Indiana also in 1888.

Effie was raised by her uncle Wiley Presnell in the Center Point Indiana area. Her brother Henry Garrett was also raised in Center Point Indiana area by his grandmother. His Grandmother's name is unknown.

I found what I believe are my Effie Ethel and Henry Garrett in the 1900 Clay County Indiana Census.

Effie Ethel married Roy Rash Sr. on Aug. 11, 1909 in Terre Haute, Indiana. She died July 10th, 1982 in Independence, MO at the age of 93.

Someone gave the information that Effie Ethel was the daughter of Fred and Ethel Peggy Presnell Ahrens. I do not know who gave the information. My dad (Effie's son) says he never knew the name of her parents.

Does any of this sound familiar to the Ahrens family?
