Looking for any information about Malissa (Aikens) Shaw (born Oct 1876 in GA or FL) and Alexander F. Shaw (15 Jun 1865 - 3 May 1942). They are enumerated in the 1900 census for Greene Co., MS, and in the 1910 census for Perry Co., MS. They had no children. Mr. Shaw died in 1942 and is buried in the Dixie cemetery in Forrest Co., MS. In 1949 Malissa Shaw sold her property in Forrest Co., MS, and is said to have gone to live with her sister. Malissa may be the daughter of Andrew Jackson Aiken and Nancy Bennett. Nancy and children Marion, Malissa, and Rachel are listed in the 1880 census for Berrian Co., GA. While not relatives of mine, Mr. and Mrs. Shaw were important to my family and I'd be grateful for any further information about either or both Alexander F. Shaw and Malissa Aikens Shaw.
