My apologuies, but no, I can't offer any more information about this family. I should have noted such in the original post. A listing of my known Aikins family can be found on this forum, post #151: http://genforum.genealogy.com/aikins/messages/151.html Whereas most of Robert of Ireland's children with known birtdates are from 1790 to about 1810, and whereas this family all seemed to move to Ohio, James b 1821 is perhaps not of this family, but until it is proven, anything is possible ... There is another line of Aikins with this same spelling that come from a costal New England town - details escape me at the moment - seems like they had some members that migrated toward PA. Perhaps this might be a more productive area to research if you are looking for earlier connections. I just happened to stumble across this obit while out surfing, and thought it should be more easily found by folks who might be looking for it so posted it here. Glad someone found it to be of value!
