Have you checked the marriage section of the IGI? Seems like this might be there:

# Name: Ichabod Akin
# Sex: M
# Birth: ABT 1827 in Ohio
# Occupation: Farmer
# Ancestral File #: ICFC-NDK
# Note:

IGI gives name as Ichabod I. Aikens.

# Change Date: 14 JAN 2001

Marriage 1 Charlotte White b: ABT 1826 in Ohio

* Married: 28 MAR 1850 in Jackson Co., VA
