no idea!

I can only offer the marriage record that reports Eliza by her (I assume) maiden name, and not as Mrs Wells:

Morgan County, OH, Probate Court, Marriage Records, 1819-1923, Marriage Records, v A-C 1819-1860, LDS Film #910657, pg 95, 1 Feb 1826.

"397 Isreal Aikins and Eliza Oliver
The State of Ohio, Morgan County
I hereby certify that on the 6th day of November last I joined together in the holy state of matrimony Isreal Aikins and Eliza Oliver. Given under my hand and seal this 1st of Feby. 1826
John White JP {seal}."

I have not connected Eliza to the family of Lancelot Oliver, and maybe that is my error -- could she be a Wells by birth and Mrs Oliver when she married Ichabod? Previously, my thinking was that she was a sister or cousin of Lancelot.

Thank you,

Bill Strickland
