ISO Attu Island Survivors

I am in search of the descendants of the survivors of Attu Island, who were taken prisoner by the Japanese.

Does anyone know what happened to the Hodikoff family. I know Mike died in Japan, but did his family survive? If so, what happened to them? Does anyone know the names of the other survivors? I have read that 21 of them survived.

I think my niece could be a descendant of one of them; but I need more information.
