Have you tried the LDS church over off of Northern Lights on Maplewood for information and help? How about the National Archive Branch down on Third Ave in the old court building( the big white building across from the old 4th Ave theater). It is next to a hotel in the basement floor. It is open from 8AM to 4:30PM M-F and on the first Saturday of each month. Oh, I am also in Anchorage. On the first Wednesday of each month, at the Lussacc(sp) Library the Anchorage Genealogical Society meets and is glad to help people. This would be for looking in the US, Canada would be a differnent story.
