AKIN, SAMUEL W. was born in Williamson Co., Tn. on 12 Jan 1799. He married Eliza C. Alexander. Mr. Akins was a prosperous famer, owning a plantation near the Williams Co. Line. He served Maury Co. as magistrate for several years. He died 27 Oct 1854 (T.S.) or 1856 (Goodspeed). His son Alfred N. was a Maury Co. official for many years and is buried in Rose Hill Cemetery, Maury Co., Tenn.
Mr. Samuel W. Akin is buried at Alexander Cemetery also known as Beech Grove Cemetery from Spring Hill, go west on Beech Croft Rd. for three miles. Cemetery is on north side of road.)
