Akins were brothers. Both had sons named Elisha C Akins. All are listed on the Pike Co., Ga 1850 census. Elisha's son was born about 1844. John's son was born about 1832. The Elisha you mention was the son of John H. Akins who married Hixsey Harris in Hancock Co., Ga. This son, married Nannie Saphronia Willis on Nov. 22, 1867 in Spalding Co., Ga.
