My wife's family of Akins was living in Cobb County, Georgia around 1834 to 1855. His name was John Akins who married Martha Gober, both appeared to be from Granville County, North Carolina. Some time before 1860 they moved and settled in Hunt County, Texas. Found John Akins in the 1834 Georgia State Census and he was listed with family in the 1850 Federal Census. What would like to gain some information on this family while they lived in Cobb County, Georgia. Some other Akins living there around that time were Thomas Akins, Robert Akins and a James Akins, hoping there were kin. Appreciate any records about these other families of Akins living in Cobb County.
