Richard Akins, Jackson Co. Ala

I am looking for information on Richard Akins who lived in Jackson Co., Ala in 1900-1938. I have found him in the 1900, 1910, and 1920 census. He died in 1938 in Flatrock, Ala. The census records say he was born in Tennessee. His death certificate says his father was William who was born in Tennessee. His wife in 1900 and 1910 was Sarah. Our family says her name was Cynthia Carden but the census only shows Sarah. Richard married Kissie Ladd sometime between 1910 and 1920 so I am assuming Sarah died between then. The 1920 census shows his father-in-law living with them and his name was Plernant Ladd. My grandmother was his daughter Essie May Akins. She married James Kinsey. Any information on this part of the family would be greatly appreciated.
