from what i have found ellen leander cox was the daughter of william p.cox born abt.1805 in ga.and died after 1860 in tx.and his wife mary alice malcolm born abt.1824 in ga. and died after 1880 in garfield,travis co.tx.buried at haneys chapel,travis co.tx.they were married dec.21 1844 at
fairplay,morgan co.ga mary alice malcolms parents were gannaway malcolm and rebecca whatley married oct.14,1814 in morgan co.ga.rebecca was born aug 15,1887 in richmond co.ga and died dec 18,1875 at penny springs,morgan co.ga.
gannaway was born 1780 in charlotte co.va. and died jan 1838 in morgan co.ga.the children i found for them were adolph,bryant,john,mary a.,charles,rebecca,julia ann,sarah,virginia and your ellen leander who died aug 10,1926 in pleasant grove,limestone co.tx.from what i found ellen leander may have been married around four times to 1.thomas james boyd,2.james b.lee,3.barney washington beard,4.mr.gillum.
