Researching family of Samuel THOMPSON, b. 1771, South Carolina, residing 1850 Benton County, Alabama, in District 28...Roll: M432_1; Page: 314; Image: 735.

Samuel THOMPSON, b. 1771, appears to be living in the household of Abraham TOWNS, W, M, age 53 born circa 1797, Georgia, married, farmer, declared net worth $2,000; wife, Malinda TOWNS, W, F, age 43 born circa South Carolina; with their daughter, Sarah TOWNS, W. F., age 17, born circa 1833 Alabama; their son J. W. TOWNS, W, M, age 14 born circa 1836 Alabama; their daughter, Permeley TOWNS, W, F, age 9 born circa Alabama;

Samuel THOMPSON, b. 1771, Georgia, appears to be living in the household of Abraham TOWNS, with his wife ?Jane [or Nancy] THOMPSON, W, F, age 46 born circa 1804 South Carolina, and [other] children [perhaps from her first marriage] including: male, Able GILL, W, M, age 14 born circa 1836 South Carolina; male, J. A. GILL, W, M, age 13 corn circa 1837 South Carolina; and males, James GILL, W, M, age 10 born circa 1840 Alabama....

We could conjecture this Samuel THOMPSON, b. 1771 was married at least twice; and it could appear he was residing in the household of his son-in-law, Abraham TOWNS [and daughter Malinda THOMPSON TOWNS??] with his second wife, Jane/Nancy UNKNOWN GILL THOMPSON, and children of her first marriage, of which the last child was born circa 1840 to UNKNOWN GILL?....

Any THOMPSON, TOWNS, or GILL researchers with information about this family we would like to correspond with you...

Regards,
Milisia
