I just received an amazing book. I'm sure many of you have already heard of it, seen it or used it, but it's new to me and I am so excited. It is called Family Maps of Calhoun County, Alabama - Homesteads Edition, and puts together in one place all the General Land Office of the BLM records, including patent maps, surnames, parcel numbers, how many parcels, who were the neighbors, etc. It is an amazing body of work by Gregory A. Boyd, J.D., god bless him.
I am happy to lookup and share info! So if you had ancestors in Alabama in the 1800's, this is a treasure trove of information!
Happy hunting,
Peri
