Aby Phillips, born 1825, married David Lang (though marriage records say "David W. Lane") in Chambers County on 29 August 1839. Before 1844, they had children James H., Cirilda or Seralga, and Matilda. Aby died, and David and the kids moved to Arkansas before 1849, when David remarried. He died in 1851. His fellow Alabamanian neighbors, who I suspect migrated to Arkansas with him, were Augustus H. Kendrick, born 1835, fine shoemaker; J. L. Kendrick, born 1830, farmer; William Boland, born 1812, farmer, and his wife Elvira, born 1819; and Jane Phillips, born 1802, possibly Aby's mother.
Any information, even general info on these surnames or migration from Alabama to Arkansas in the 1840's, would be welcome.
