Am looking for info on James & Martha Mays living at Rough & Ready Post Ofc area in 180. James is listed as "Martha" instead of James. Believe Martha is daughter of John Turbyville from Lincoln County N. C. Martha was sister to my Wilson Coleman Turbyville. James b. 1794 in virginia and Martha b. 1790 in NC. Children listed are Martha L 30, Rachel 27, Robert C. 46, Nancy 22, Mary 6, James V. 5, Martha 3, Crawford 2 and Nancy less than year. Also in family is Angelina Mays 44 and Martha A. Mays 22. Are there descendants of this family still in Chambers County? My Wilson went on to Franklin County, Alabama.
