Searching for possibility of burial and cemetery in Chambers Co. for Peter B. Alston, born in South Carolina about 1796. Married Martha King In Halifax Co. North Carolina, July 14 1819. Family (including two sons born in NC) moved to Georgia, Muscogee Co. approximately 1830's to 1840's, then by 1850 census, listed as living in Chambers AL. The 1850 census is the last time Peter B. Alston appears in any historical document, however his wife (widow) is listed with her two youngest children still in Chambers Co. in the 1860 census. By the 1870 census all are living in Smith Co. Texas. Suspect Peter B. Alston died sometime in the 1850's in Chambers Co. and I am looking for the cemetery where he might be buried. The Alston family is listed as living in the region for the post office at Cusseta and Ossinippa. Any help is greatly appreciated.
