Maybe someone in Cherokee Co can help me understand a piece of my family history. My gg grandmother was Lucretia Turner (1838 - 1921). She is said to have lived out her life in Cherokee Co. Her second (or third) husband was a Mr. Barnes. We do not know when she married him, but have gotten some clues that he may have adopted some of her Hamilton children.
Does anyone recognize this family?
