Mary,

Eva is located on the county line. We are in Morgan County but border Cullman County. The McGlathery community is about the same. Probable not over a mile or two as the crow flies from Cullman County.

When doing research in this part of the world, keep in mind that the county lines changed a lot in the 1800s. Cullman County was really one of the last counties formed in the state. You should look in Cullman, Blount, Morgan & Walker counties for sure. Chances are your ancestors never moved at all, but the county lines did !!

I have an idea where your McGlatherys may be buried and can check the Morgan County cemetery book here at the local library. Exactly who are you looking for?

Rick
