Christine Beal, 52, died Feb. 21, 2009, at the Red Bay Hospital. She was born Jan. 21, 1957, in St. Joseph, Mo., to Julian C. and Rebecca Marshburn Jenkins. She was a factory worker and a member of Assembly of Christ House of Prayer. She attended the Arizona State School for the Deaf and Blind, and graduated from the Talledega School for the Deaf and Blind.
Services were at the Assembly of Christ House of Prayer in Dennis with Broburial in the church cemetery. Deaton Funeral Home of Red Bay was in charge of the arrangements.
Survivors included her husband of 30 years, Larry Beal of Red Bay; her mother, Rebecca J. Marshburn Jenkins of Red Bay; three sisters, Carolyn Smither (Harlan) of St. Joseph, Mo., Priscilla Jenkins of Los Angeles and Madeena Jenkins of Red Bay; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law, Frances Pritchard of Myrtle Beach, S.C., Peggy Davis, Dan Beal, Jo Beal, Janice Douglas, Wanda Waugh and Michael Beal, all of Huntingdon, Tenn., Kathy Jowers of Dallas, Texas, and Liza Frantzman of Memphis; several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Julian J. Jenkins.
